We're launch trigger happy - there are two fixes I would like added before sending new ver. to AMO. Copied from todo list:
1 - bug: "News" tab is no longer selected when panel is first opened.(Alaa: It is on my copy. Stale xpi maybe.) (Joe - latest xpi still has problem -- see screenshot)

I'm also concerned the feeds aren't updating every fifteen minutes. I notice the latest Tweet I'm seeing now is an hour old.

I feel like I'm 12 hours off of everyone else.
I spent a little time tracking down the "News" tab bug last night, I'm
half way there (to do with dynamically generating XUL tabs, rather than
hard coding then), so Alaa leave that one to me, unless your've solved
it already.
I'll deal with the close button as well, asap.
and i take it we just need to use the other image to "Change to
Democratic Convention Edition"

Thanks for working on updating the "news" tab feature.
For the title - Dietrich built an xpi that included the image I took the screenshot of (dnc xpi attached). Can we change that text to "Democratic Convention Edition" I admit this request was confusing. The text in Dietrich's image is "Convention Edition, Denver 2008" My thoughts are that changing it to "Democratic Convention Edition" would be more clear.
We can push updating the close button, that's not as high as making sure all the feeds update every 15 min, as seamlessly as possible. My feeds just updated (after an hour) and recently my browser has been getting glitchy and super slow when it updates -- that's how I know it's updating ;) . I've removed all other extensions and this is still occuring. Using 3.0.1/Vista
