President Barack Obama after only two years in office became one of the most prolific Presidents in American history.

Shamefully, the two Detroit area Districts in the 13th and 14th which represent one of the strongest Democratic strongholds in America -  failed to present an agenda to President Obama, failed to invite him to Pontiac, Highland Park, Inkster, Oak Park or neighborhoods in Detroit.
We can't sit on our collective strength any longer.

I am running for Chair of the 14th District because we must flex our political strength on behalf of our community.

We must coordinate a political strategy with urban centers across America, organize around economic and social justice and open up the party.   We are a big tent, not a private club.

It is time to reverse right to work, stand up against environmental injustice and support Water as a Basic Human right.

There are so many issues we must work on and we must get our Democratic Party Vehicle moving.

We need a 14th district that will defend the school aid fund, fight for our public schools and endorse candidates with Democratic values.

Sadly, the 14th leadership put a dagger in proposal A.  We need leadership who will stand with block club leaders in the fight for community benefits.

I am bringing years of experience as a young democrat organizer, Teamsters political director and attorney to this position.

We must also get back to the basics. The 14th must send membership notices and comply with campaign finance laws.  The 14th has not filed a campaign report since early 2015, totally disregarding late filing notices from the state for over two years.

Please let me know if our 14th Progressive Slate can count on your vote this Saturday at Cobo.

If you live in the 13th please cast your vote for Progressive leader  THEO BROUGHTON and her 13th Together Slate
