Dear Disability Task Force Attendees and residents:

Councilman Leland will be setting a meeting schedule for the Detroit City Council Disability Task Force for 2017.   The plan is to meet in different locations across Detroit.

Can your organization host a meeting at your site?

Do you any have suggestions for ADA compliant locations that would be good for a meeting, considering a number of factors including accessible bathrooms, access to public transportation and parking?  Please send ideas and contact info if possible.

Councilman Leland wants to take the show on the road.   I remember the Detroit Charter Commission holding meetings at union halls, recreation centers, places of worship and more . . .

Our meeting in January will include a focus on problems associated with Winter Weather.   Thank you to Baxter Jones and others for bringing this issues to the table.  So many issues to tackle including paratransit and others.   Location and time TBD.

Also, if you are willing to visit potential meeting sites with me please let me know.
