Grief & Resistance Against Land Seizure
Join us March 20th for poetry reading and reflections honoring the
struggle for People's Park and connected struggles around the world.
THURSDAY, MARCH 20, 2025
Tamarack, 1501 Harrison St, Oakland (near 19th St BART)
**Masks required and provided.**
Doors @ 6:30, reading @ 7pm.
Featuring Oakland-based poet Joni Flint-Gonzales; poet stevie redwood
(author of the chapbook "Intifada"); Sylvia Santillanez (author of the
zine "Late Days at People's Park"); and Wendy Trevino (author of Cruel
Fiction, the 2016 Poetry Foundation Book of the Year).
An altar will be set up to honor lost comrades, spaces, and loved ones.
All are invited to bring items of significance to create a collective
grieving space for the duration of the event.
Prints and chapbooks will be for sale to benefit Palestine support.
