Subject: [peoples-park-news] Berkeley High Students March // Organizing Meeting // More

On behalf of the People's Park Council (PeoplesPark.org):

*****

UPCOMING EVENTS:

*****

On Valentine’s Day, FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 14, at 2:30PM, Berkeley High’s
Intersectional Student Activists (ISA) will lead a march from Downtown
Berkeley, Shattuck & Center, to People’s Park.

We are marching because:

We, the young people of Berkeley, refuse to stand idly by while our city
routinely assaults and displaces our unhoused community members,
disregarding their basic human rights.

We demand an immediate end to the sweeps; we demand that violent city
officials be held accountable. We call on our city to work with the
Where Do We Go Movement in finding equitable housing for all.

Berkeley High’s Intersectional Student Activists will lead a march from
Shattuck & Center to People’s Park on Valentine’s Day (2:30 thru ~6pm)
to demand an end to the cruelty and work towards justice with Where Do
We Go.
