This is to inform all the students that the proposed meeting with the management is scheduled to be held at 11.30 AM in seminar hall on Monday July 25, 2011. The representatives of the management include Prof. Hilda Amalraj, couple of academic members representing the faculty along with the Vice Chancellor and Dean Placement Mr. Srinivas (Acting Director)

The agenda for the meeting will limit the discussions pertaining to the issues given below -


ISSUES TO BE ADDRESSED IN SHORT TERM

Medical Facilities

1.      Qualified doctors; male and female (1 general physician and 1 emergency specialist) and 3 nurses available 24*7.

2.      Proper medical facilities including branded medicines, regularly replenished first aid kits, proper information about availability of medication & the contact no. of medical personnel at clinic, main gate and hostels.

3.      3 fully equipped 108 ambulances with ICU facilities available 24*7 near Boys’ & Girls’ Hostel and at the main gate

4.      Nebulizer for asthmatic patients should be available at each hostel blocks.

 

Administrative Issues

1.      Effective follow up with the police regarding the accident.

2.      Fee refund & compensation to the family.

3.      Immediate termination of warden and ASO for negligence and inability to handle the situation.

4.      Single point of contact from college Management, with appropriate authority, to address student grievances and all contingent issues.

Safety & Security

1.      Street lights and sign boards (indicating speed limits) on either side of the college on the road outside.

2.      Speed breakers

-          Delhi Darbaar

-          Havelli

-          Either sides of Main Gate

-          Blind turn for the road coming from Shankarpally.

3.      Reflectors on either side of the road.

4.      Security guards patrolling along the stretch of Dhabas to prevent & curb misbehavior & eve teasing.

5.      Prohibition of Alcohol consumption to be made applicable for wardens & staff as well.

 

Issues to be addressed in the long run

 

1.      4 bed hospital with all emergency facilities.

2.      Intercom facility should be available at each priority location & a single siren to alert all functional department as well as students in case of emergency.

3.      All the emergency contact numbers should be deployed at every notice board.

4.      College should request govt. to construct pavement along the road.

 

It is most important for us to maintain the decorum, discipline & professional etiquette as the discussion goes on. Our motto is to focus on the issues/results & not dilute the discussion. We must ensure that actions are taken in time to do justice to Nihit Sinha. All of us are together in this and hold equal responsibility.
