Postdoc and PhD Student: Arctic Sea Ice

These positions are part of a 5-year research project funded by the
European Research Council (ERC) with the overriding aim to improve our
understanding of the links between the Arctic atmosphere, sea ice and
the ocean and to investigate the biogeochemical processes in the sea ice
under various sea ice states. To this end a new state-of the-art sea ice
chamber will be constructed and operated and a hierarchy of numerical
models employed.

This project is an exciting opportunity for highly motivated individuals
with an interest in the technical challenge of chamber work and the
scientific challenge of understanding fundamental sea ice properties and
the relevance for the atmosphere.

This project will be conducted in the Centre for Ocean and Atmospheric
Sciences (COAS) at the School of Environmental Sciences, University of
East Anglia, Norwich, UK.
