OASIS (Organizing Action on Sustainability In Schools) is a consortium of 43 schools in Central New Jersey that work together to educate ourselves and share ideas about sustainability, to learn from the experiences of colleagues, and to create events and resources. We have been helping area schools become more sustainable since 2008.

Statewide Air Quality Info Session and Environmental Justice Community Engagement Session
Date/Time: Wednesday, 
May 6th, 2026 @ 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM  
Location: Main Room, Erxleben Recreation Center, 513 Richmond St., Elizabeth, NJ 07202  
Join in person or virtually via Zoom. Meet with DEP staff and learn about how the DEP protects your air quality.  Talk about justice issues in your community. Translation services for all participants are available in Spanish. You can register for the event online:

Awards
Eco-Schools U.S. certification season - April 3 to June 5
You can submit your Eco-Schools U.S. certification application between 4/3 - 6/5. You can answer the certification questions on each card you do with your students any time, but your whole plan can only be submitted from April - June. I will be offering a webinar on how to complete your plan and file for certification, then answer the floor to questions. Click on a link below to register, and I will send out a Teams Meeting link closer to the date.
