Hello again all,

The Watershed is offering a free training for K-12 teachers interested in doing water quality testing with their students through our StreamWatch Schools program. This is a great way to connect students of all ages to a real-world science opportunity and connect them to their local waterway.

The program includes a two-hour on-line module that can be completed on your schedule in increments, and one day of in-person training (March 14th) at The Watershed Institute. Please see the attached flyer or visit our website to learn more. This program also provides access to our searchable database with 30 years of water quality testing data.

Best, Sophie

Hello Sophie, I am preparing plans for our school's Earth Day event on April 30th. Last year we brought students to the Watershed Institute as part of a Sustainable Jersey grant so I am familiar with many of your programs. I wanted to reach out to see if you have presenters who might be willing to host a station on Earth Day so the students can explore. Ideas that came to mind were sustainable materials, native plants and butterflies or pollinators. Do you think someone would be interested in joining us? Please let me know. I am eager to work with the Watershed Institute again.
Thank you,
Lisa Coster
