Attention K-12 Educators:

The NJ School of Conservation is offering a very special professional development opportunity for you to earn a $150 stipend for each full day workshop you attend at the NJ School of Conservation. We also have limited field trip funding available for your students! Sounds too good to be true, right?! The NJSOC has partnered with Ramapo College on the statewide Climate Change Learning Collaborative grant from the Department of Education, making all this possible! Here are the highlights:

  • Public or Charter School Teachers from anywhere in NJ, who teach any grade level and subject area, are invited to sign up for weekday workshops in August, or Saturday workshops from September through March. (Some evening virtual options are also available.)

  • You’re welcome to attend as many workshops as you like at NJSOC, or with other Community Based Organizations (see website link below for details). Workshops at NJSOC will offer an overnight option on our campus in Stokes State Forest to ease your commute and allow you more time to relax and explore.

  • Workshops will include indoor and outdoor activities and all of the materials you’ll need to take turnkey lessons back to your classroom! See our agendas HERE.

  • Field trip money may be available to bring your students for a field trip!

Here's how to participate :

As educators, you play a crucial role in shaping the next generation's understanding of climate change. We look forward to supporting you on your journey to integrate climate change education into your work. Take action and sign up today! And spread the word - all NJ Educators in Public and Charter Schools are invited!

Please email me with any questions at tsuli...@njsoc.org. We look forward to working with you.

Best,
