Hi All!

Apologies for spamming this to everyone but given the tight timings, I
figured I'd maximize the probability that this gets actioned quickly.

Could someone from each team that is flying in/out of Salvador please
fill out the following form? https://forms.gle/FVxQKvyoThX9Lmmm7

Cheers!

Hi All!

Just wanted to give you an update.

It looks like some/all of you have received an email with the subject "RoboCup 2025 - Please help us to get ready for you!". I've just received confirmation that it was sent to you inadvertently. It contains the RoboCupJunior version of the link I sent in my previous email but you should be filling out the Major version (that I sent below) as your logistics are (mostly) being handled by Major.

To try and clear things up a little bit as to when RMRC is Major vs Junior:

At the airport - I'm hoping they're just doing things by hotel but if they do somehow have a separation between Junior and Major, follow Major (and if they're recording things, you're either Major, Rescue Robot League, or Rapidly Manufactured Robot Challenge depending on how specific they're being).

At the registration desk - follow instructions for Junior as that's where your badges are. Your badges *should* have something (possibly a sticker) that says you're part of RMRC, which will let you into the Major area where your arena is.

In the hall - RMRC is in the Major area on the ground floor (*not* the Junior area upstairs on the mezzanine floor). On the map of the ground floor below, the registration desk is indicated by the dashed blue line while the RMRC area is indicated by the red dotted line. On the map on the website, RMRC is dot 8 while the registration desk is dot 1.

Social events - RMRC is attending the Junior party on Friday evening.

Awards ceremony - RMRC awards are presented during the Major award ceremony.

Cheers!

- Raymond

Hi All!

I've received some clarification regarding the airport arrangements for teams and the purpose of the information that you filled out in those forms. The goal is to:
"1) Provide detailed information to local police to reinforce operations in the airport area and the recommended hotels area;
2) Provide some volunteers to assist teams in arranging transport to hotels and further information during the most common arrival times"

I'm not quite sure what those times are or what assistance is being provided so I would still suggest being familiar with options to get from the airport to your hotel. See the RoboCup newsletter and website for further details about transportation (and in particular about using official modes of transportation for your safety).

Cheers!

Hi All!

Just a few more clarifications.

- RMRC is in the Major area but registers as Junior so your badge pickup starts on Wednesday the 16th (except those also registered as Organizing Committee, who can arrive on the 15th). Remember that your badge should have some kind of annotation (perhaps a sticker or similar - I'll see if I can find out more specifically what this is) that gives you access to the Major team area where your paddock is. Of course if you're in the area on the 15th feel free to become familiar with the area but I suspect that it will be very busy at the venue itself with Major arriving with all their robots.

- Regarding airport arrangements, here's some additional information I have from the LOC:
"Yes, volunteers will be available in the airport arrivals area during the morning and afternoon until July 14th. If any team arrives at a time when there are no volunteers at the airport, they must arrange their transportation to their hotels. We emphasize that the safest recommended transportation options are:
1) Official Airport Taxi (COMTAS or COOMETAS) - more expensive, but with cars with large trunks.
2) Private cars via app (Uber or 99app) - If you need to carry large bags, choose higher-priced services like Uber Comfort, Uber Black, or 99 Plus. The cheapest services with UberX or 99 Pop are usually operated by cars with small trunks that cannot accommodate large bags.
3) Teams with a large number of people and luggage can reserve a van. We recommend Mr. Jorge's service via WhatsApp: +55 71 9143-5836. This service must be negotiated and paid for by the team directly with Mr. Jorge. It is recommended to schedule the appointment in advance."

I'm not quite sure how this meshes with Junior teams arriving on the 15th so I've asked for clarification.

Cheers!

- Raymond
