Hi All!

We're looking forward to a terrific 2025 RMRC competition season!

RoboCup 2025 in Salvador (July 15-21, 2025) is going to be coming up
quick! We will be co-ordinating logistics and arena construction with
the Major RoboCupRescue Robot League and the Local Organizing Committee
as usual. However, this year we are going to need a bit more help on the
ground in Salvador from you, the RMRC community.

Right now we are looking for someone to lead the on-the-ground running
of RMRC during the setup and competition days - the role that Stefan and
Thomas performed in Bordeaux and Eindhoven. They have done a fantastic
job, but unfortunately, they won't be available to run the competition
in 2025. Archer is also unlikely to be able to make it back for 2025
(and Raymond will be tied up in trustee meetings).

So we would love to know your plans!
- Are you planning on participating in the RoboCupRescue Robot League
RMRC 2025 in Salvador?
- If so, do you feel comfortable taking the lead on running the
competition during the competition days?

Please reply to the list, or email me directly. Ideally we will have
several people jointly leading and can spread the load around! Also do
email me if you have any questions about this role.

Of course, we'll be providing all the help we can remotely before and
during the event, we will coordinate with the local organizing committee
and major rescue League for logistics, and we already have a couple of
folks happy to help on the ground there.

Going forward, competitions like this generally thrive when we have a
broad base of organizers from the participating teams. To this end, we
would like to invite all interested team leaders/mentors to join the
organizing committee of RMRC. Reply to this email (or email one of us
directly), and we'll add you to the list!

We also welcome any suggestions/comments, such as regarding how the
competition is run, the rulebook/construction guide, publicity, and
communications.

Cheers!

Raymond and Archer

Hi All!

I hope your preparations for the holiday season and end-of-year are
going well!

Just an update, as of right now we don't have anyone from within the
RMRC community who is in a position to take the lead on the competition
for 2025 in Salvador but don't worry! Because RMRC is (and has always
been) a part of the broader RoboCupRescue Robot League (RRL)
competition, in the absence of someone taking the lead from within RMRC,
we can easily integrate the administration of the competition for 2025
back into the RRL, as we did during the early years. Either way, the
competition will go ahead!

Also note that because we run as part of RRL, we are also able to run
with a reduced number of teams as the resources and arena are also part
of RRL. Indeed, if the competition does turn out to be a bit smaller
than normal, that might be ideal for newer teams as there will be more
time available in the arena and it may be possible to spend some time in
more of a "workshop" mode between RMRC and RRL.

Cheers!

- Raymond

Hi Raymond, I hope you are doing great.

Sorry but I don't know why I missed this email.

Related to your questions:
- Are you planning on participating in the RoboCupRescue Robot League
RMRC 2025 in Salvador?
Yes, I plan to participate in Salvador, Brazil next year.

- If so, do you feel comfortable taking the lead on running the
competition during the competition days?

Of course I'm interested in helping in the organization of the competition and I'm able to lead if you need.
I have experience as a mentor in RMRC in Robocup with our AESIR Team in France and Netherlands and with the Magistry Team in Japan and Canada, and also I have experience in running the RMRC competition in our Mexican open. So with all your help and the LOC, I think we can make it.

I look forward to your comments, regards.
