Oh yeah - I guess that's good to know isn't it?  ;-)

For both of these jobs the general requirements are all the normal stuff, like "being a team player" and "general knowledge of CS concepts" - stuff like that.  Keep in mind that we are looking for the right person, so someone who doesn't meet all the "ideal" requirements is still encouraged to apply because we are willing to work with them.  Anyway, here are some specific requirements:

1) Unix System Administrator:
=======================
- Experience as a systems administrator of UNIX based systems with specific experience with the family of BSD UNIX Systems, specifically FreeBSD.
- Experience in highly available systems and RAID configurations.
- Capable of performing hardware setup, configuration and maintenance.
- Generate information / reports about overall health and performance level of systems.
- Help maintain optimal security level of online systems.
- Regularly provide information to management / team members about security threats, system update requirements.

2) Software Developer:
================
- Web development technologies including: HTML, XHTML, PHP, CSS, JSP Pages, XML, Java Servlets, SOAP, client & server side programming including Java, PHP.
- Database capability including ability to design and properly normalize database structure. Capable of programmatically inserting, extracting, querying information from a database.
- Networking including a good understanding of TCP/IP group of protocols.
- Familiarity with Unix operating systems including FreeBSD, various Linux distributions. (FreeBSD is preferred but not necessary)
- Knowledge of a wide variety of programming languages and associated concepts is a plus.
