I've come up with a topic that I could present on, but I wanted to run it past the group to gauge interest.
There is a freemium, but very hackable markdown note-taking app I use called Obsidian, which has become one of my favorite tools in the last couple of years. It has massively improved my productivity and my ability to effectively juggle multiple projects simultaneously over the past few years. And while I won't claim Obsidian is the end-all, be-all solution for note-taking, I do think that anyone who has a job as some kind of knowledge worker, it is important to have a variety of note-taking tools and techniques at your disposal to adequately do and excel at your job. The flexibility and tools that Obsidian provides make it a great starting point for figuring out how to effectively take notes that work for you.
I haven't looked at Roy's library schedule yet, but I would be targeting mid-December or early January for this meeting if there is enough interest.
Does this sound interesting to you? If not, I do want to present sometime early next year on Linux from Scratch, and I would be happy to focus my energies on that presentation instead. However, it would mean that we won't have a meeting for at least another 2 months unless someone else volunteers to present.
