I talked with Jared and Stephen, and I sent out an e-mail with some Ideas but I have not really heard back from people, so I am excited that you are e-mailing. Since things fell through with OCO, I think we should just keep it simple, so what I said in the previous e-mail is:
• 5:00 Saturday:gather at the TAC,
• pray,
• At about 5:30 break up into small groups,
• Go out to the houses of the people we want to offer to pray for.
• Try if possible to let them know in advance that we are coming.
• We should probably try to constitute groups that include SP folks, NH
folks and neighbors.
• Each group should go to two or three houses
• After praying, come back to the TAC for the ice cream social we talked
about, that should be cool.
• When we come back to the TAC if we bring some of the neighbors with us,
we can make plans for getting the surveys done,
• Put out vision for and begin to plan for the Block Party.
What SP can do is:
contact neighbors (and especially families) that you want to reach out to and tell them that we want to come and pray for them.
We made a list of people at Wednesday Prayer. The list is posted on the Peace Walk google site. I think not necessarily like healing prayer, but more like a house blessing and intercession, but we can play that by ear. I am not sure how many New Hopers will come, but I think we should plan for about 10.
I can get the Ice Cream, bowls, spoons and all that we need to serve it.
Our main need will be to have contact with families that we can pray for.
I will contact some families too, and let you know who and where they will be.
