Hi All,
The new system with oaklandwiki/localwiki as one has this detail-oriented tagger a little bit puzzled. Now when we start typing a tag, all the tags come up, whether they're OW specific or not. I get WHY this is- it helps incorporate OW into LW. What it also does is mess up the OW taxonomy that we've worked really hard on to make consistent (having not too many repetitive tags and having tags be consistent, etc.).
I'm not sure if there's a way to have only OW tags show up as we start typing, or if this is even desirable. Any ideas?

I agree about not merging the tags and was confused when I first saw it.

I would think having them separate in general would be useful. e.g., "Broadway" doesn't necessarily mean the same thing in Oakland as in all other contexts.

Maybe if the Oakland tags were shown first and separated from the non-Oakland tags?

Yeah, there's some boosting we should do here. Right now the autocomplete is pretty basic & doesn't even take tag popularity into account yet. Adding to TODO.
