Wow... TONIGHT has turned into a show!! The Oakland COMEDY Slam & Open-
Mic is going to be "Fabularious" with SIX seriously funny women (&
Sammy KO). You'll bust a gut at the comedy stylings of Caitlin Gill,
LilyBeth Helson, Shanti Charan, Gina Ritter, Priya Prasad and Chris
Burns in the Comedy Slam AND be treated to a feature from last months
champ Sammy KO! Use the Google if you don't believe me - that's a LOT
of talent. I implore you to Come laugh you ass off!!
It's not like that's the whole show either. First thing up is a quick
and dirty, 20 minute, 5 poet last-chance poetry slam. POETS - this is
absolutely positively the last qualifier before Semis on 3/24 &
3/31... that's THIS month!! Preference on the list is given to folks
that have slammed this season but are not currently in the top 16.
And that's not all either, nope. After the shortest slam ever we'll
have our patented WIDE-Open-Mic; where we welcome Oakland's finest
Poets, Comics, Singer, MCs, Musicians and YOU to the stage. Bring your
tracks, bring you axe, bring your jokes or a piece - we offer a warm
and welcoming audience at very least.
That's the before - there's also an after. After the WIDE-Open-Mic and
the COMEDY Slam the dance floor opens and DJ Black takes over. Stick
around and get to know the folks that entertained you - some have
merches you can purchase others might have shows they throws... one
never knows. The kitchen is open late, the drinks are strong, the
music is tight, the people are friendly, the show is DOPE - come
through, I guarantee you'll have a great time.
