Thurs. (7/23) The Oakland Multi-Voice Slam @ The Den (at The Fox Theater)

Hello Poetry Fans & Fam,
I'm sure you already know, it's crunch time for the teams, the
individual poets have tweaked and tightened their already phenomenal
work and have also formed together like Voltron to create new SUPER
poems called "team" or "group" or "multi-voice" poems.

Have you heard of The Suicide Kings? How about Proletariat Bronze?
These are just two (DOPE!) performance collectives that got their
spark from creating this type of work. Something special happens when
poetic people creatively combine their efforts. The funny turns
hilarious, the touching becomes heart-wrenching, the passionate
becomes invigorating and electrifying. All that to say - this show is
extra-special! The regular Slam will be replaced by a multi-voice Slam
with only team pieces competing.

And, while we're showcasing group work we figured we should also treat
you to a feature set from your favorite Pinoy Poetry collective and
ours; Proletariat Bronze. Damn, you are so in for a treat!
