About our feature:
Thadra Sheridan is a hilarious award-winning performance poet from
Minneapolis. She has performed her poetry all over the U.S., and has
won awards for her writing from the Faulkner Society and from the
National Legague of American Pen Women. She moved to the Bay Area and
was a major player in the poetry scene here, on team SF in '05 and
coaching Berkeley the following year. She also appeared on Def Poetry
season 4. Thadra has taught performance poetry in high schools,
colleges and art centers. She has coached two Minnesota slam teams,
and has coordinated events for the National Writers Union and the
Minnesota Spoken Word Association. Thadra's work has been published in
periodicals and anthologies and can be heard on several CD
anthologies.
