LAST open qualifier for iWPS Finals Thursday - Joyce Lee features Wednesday

This Thursday, July 8th, is your chance to see two of the Bay Area's
hottest slam teams in action in a rare head to head bout. Come through
and catch the evenings feature - the perennial powerhouse Oakland Slam
team defending their home turf against the up and coming Life Sentence
squad.

We'll also have our patented wide-open-mic to set the show off. That's
where we all forget the judges and the hostess with the hotness;
Nazelah, welcomes poets, emcees, singers, commedians and maybe even
YOU to the mic. That's on top of the regular old open-slam, which is
the LAST qualifier for Oakland's iWPS Finals coming up in August after
Nationals. And you can keep you iPod in your purse, your soundtrack
for the evening will come from the bottomless pockets of the one and
only DJ Mr. G.

AND - Tomorrow, Wednesday July 7th; Joyce Lee is the Oakland Grand
Slam Champion as well as a professional writer and performer. She just
finished a tour that took her from Boston to Georgia and eventually
led her to Viracocha on July 7th. Did you know that she has pretty
toes? Well she does!

Why is it a special night? Baruch Porras-Hernandez and Olga Rosales
will be joining forces and co-hosting the newly branded Vetted Word
Showcase as the dynamic Mexican Duo!

Also be showcasing are the very talented John Staedler, Jen G., Blythe
Baldwin, and many of other amazing Vetted Word performers!

The events take place in the basement of Viracocha. It is located at
the corner of 21st and Valencia ~ be on the look out for the fierce
dragon painted on the door!
