With great speed and excitement to start her life in this world, Natalia arrived this morning at 5:28 am, 7lbs 7oz, 17.5 in. She won the great hair award on the Labor and Delivery floor today.

We are both doing great and hope to head home tonight or tomorrow morning. Better photos to follow.

Natalia is named for her paternal great-great grandmother and my grandfather Sherman. Also the government agency that spies on us. Just kidding.

Local friends and family, we'd love to see you, have you meet the baby, and will happily accept all offers of free food. We did set up a meal registry again here: http://mealbaby.com/viewregistry/14930600. It's mostly an easy way to see if someone is already scheduled to visit on a particular day - if the selection of days doesn't work for you, shoot me a text or email me and we'll coordinate. Aside from food, the biggest help we could ask for is to come and entertain Jamie - even an hour of taking him in the backyard or to a nearby park is great as he loves having friends visit and we expect we won't get him out of the house as much as we'd like in these early days. As for presents, we have everything we could need! But books are always welcome, and if you want to make Jamie your best friend, any small vehicle (construction, truck, car, plane, train, etc.) is always a welcome addition to his collection.

We are feeling incredibly lucky and grateful and look forward to sharing this amazing new life with you soon.
