Hi,

I just finished my last game with a win against GoTrend,

but lost all the others:)

Hideki asks, which flag to put on the result page?

South Africa?

(We will be on the last place:(

Hi Detlef,

I think it's up to you. Considering the amount of work you've put in,
I'm more than happy for you to select Germany. If you want to put
South Africa, I'm also fine with that, but Germany would probably be
more accurate in this scenario :)

Hey Detlef.

Thanks for arranging participation for Oakfoam! Also, cool it got a
win, even if it didn't take us off the bottom of the log. With no
wins, you often have no idea how far from the rest of the field you
were...

Yes, was a great event.

I learned: we are the last with Mogo style playouts:) So I am starting to change to cs style....

No one is using random moves in the playout (we did about 15%) anymore.

Abakus copyed a playout strategy with mainly 3x3 patterns, nomitan uses larger patterns and reduces in case of no match the size during playouts.

If you have a look at the games you will see: sometimes we were outread, but mostly the playouts were wrong. E.g. during the game against abakus the winrate differed by nearly 40% during the game abakus had more than 70 and we had more than 65, but for the own color:)

So, if we just turn off the 15% random, do we get a strength increase? :)

No, the random moves are after the other rules...

If you turn them of (they are not realy random anyway, but weighted e.g. with criticality) you have to come up with some other ideas which moves to do:)
