GREAT OPPORTUNITY - For individuals who want to farm, but lack the necessary financial resources.

Southern Kentucky widow  seeks proposals by individuals or farm family to take over long-term shared management and operation of a 400-acre farm in her family since the Revolutionary War. About 50-acres of creek bottoms used for corn and soybeans, rest is hills and upland suitable for hay and pasture for beef, dairy or alternative animals. Considerable woodland under forestry management. Normal rainfall and temperature pattern supports vegetable and fruit production for direct sale to consumers.  Farm has good highway access and is about 25-miles from Bowling Green, KY, a growing city that is home to Western Kentucky University, one of the larger state-operated universities. Interested parties should contact Norma J. Forsythe at 270-879-9761 or by email at n...@windstream.net to arrange for a pre-proposal visit to the farm.
