Subject: 'The Digital Teacher', An online course by UNESCO MGIEP - Starting on 26th April 2021!
To:

Hello there!

Since you had registered for ‘Teachers as Designers' workshop at TECH 2020, you may be interested in our latest offering: “The Digital Teacher”, a highly engaging four-week online course on digital pedagogy.

'The Digital Teacher' is not just another course on digital technology; it helps teachers, educators, and designers to explore the pedagogical possibilities with use of technology and builds their ability to use technology for diverse purposes. The course prepares its participants to use digital tools to increase learner engagement, facilitate collaboration, address motivation, include diverse learners, organize self-paced learning, and develop assessments in face-to face, online and hybrid settings. Read more about the topics covered on our webpage or refer to the course brochure.

What is the duration and structure of the course?

The course will take up to 20- 25 hours over a period of 4 weeks to complete. It includes 3 live sessions, 4 e-learning modules (including multi-modal content and practice tasks), asynchronous discussions and quiz-based assessments. For more details on the scope and structure, refer to the course brochure.

How effective is this course?

81.3% participants of the first cohort believe that the course has enhanced their skill in designing more engaging learning experiences using digital tools. 68.8% participants believe that the course has developed their skill to design formative assessments and giving quality feedback using digital tools.

Will learners get a course certificate?

Course certificate will be given to all the learners who successfully complete the assessments. Read more about the certification here

When does the course begin and end?

The course will start on 26th April 2021 and end on 23rd May 2021. There are only 130 seats in this cohort. The registrations for this cohort will close on 22nd April 2021 or before that once the maximum cohort capacity is reached. Refer to the course schedule including the time of the live classes here

How to register for this batch?

Fill up the registration form before 22nd April 2021; you will receive an email with details of the first session. Cannot join this batch due to prior commitments? Watch our webpage for dates of the next cohort.

Is this a paid course?

Great news! The course is free of charge for now.

Warm regards,

Team ‘Digital Teacher’, UNESCO MGIEP
