504 Gateway Time-out

  Metadata seems to be working perfectly, but when I try to validate the site in step 2, it shows a 504 Gateway Time-out.

Hi Kadek,

I just tried running the validation and it completed without the server at base URL https://repo-dev.undiksha.ac.id/oai returning a 504 at any time. I do not know whether the server configuration might have been changed, or whether it was a transient issue. Base URL: https://repo-dev.undiksha.ac.id/oai validates as compliant.

Just chiming in to add a bit more context. I also checked the base URL (https://repo-dev.undiksha.ac.id/oai).

If you visit this link directly in your browser and see an XML page displaying <error code="badVerb">Illegal OAI verb</error>, please don't worry. This is the standard and correct OAI-PMH response when the endpoint is accessed without a specific query parameter.

This response actually confirms Simeon's finding: the server is up, active, and properly parsing OAI requests right now. To view the actual repository information in your browser, you just need to append a valid verb, like so: https://repo-dev.undiksha.ac.id/oai?verb=Identify.

It's highly likely the 504 you experienced earlier was just a temporary server overload or a brief timeout issue during a heavy validation fetch.
