OAI-PMH Data Provider Registration Service Discontinued

Dear all,

Following earlier discussion and input (see https://groups.google.com/g/oai-pmh/c/b11cH343bIo) I discontinued the OAI-PMH Data Provider provider registration service. I recommend use of appropriate alternative registries including:

• ROAR (Registry of Open Access Repositories, https://roar.eprints.org/)

• OpenDOAR (Directory of Open Access Repositories, https://opendoar.ac.uk/)

• re3data (Registry of Research Data Repositories, https://www.re3data.org/)

• FAIRSharing (https://fairsharing.org/)

The OAI-PMH Data Provider VALIDATION service on the Open Archives website remains available at https://www.openarchives.org/Register/ValidateSite . I still have some work to do to tidy links and references but will do that as time allows.
