Hi,

What is the license for the ORE vocabulary at

http://www.openarchives.org/ore/1.0/terms

The license is not declared within.

http://www.openarchives.org/ore/1.0/vocabulary
and
http://www.openarchives.org/ore/1.0/rdfxml

says

This work is licensed under a Creative Commons
Attribution-Noncommercial-Share Alike 3.0 Unported License.

linking to
http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/3.0/

I wanted to include ore.rdf (or a OWL variant of that that I have
made) within Apache Taverna, but it the Non-Commercial clause above
seem to prevent me:

http://www.apache.org/legal/resolved.html#cc-sa

Is is possible to modify this license for a later/updated version?

http://www.openarchives.org/ore/0.9/jsonld on the other hand is
Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike 3.0 Unported License - which
is permitted - presumably this license would also cover
https://w3id.org/ore/context ?

hi Stian

Thanks for bringing this up. I trust we can fix both embedding the
license in the ORE vocabulary document and changing to BY-SA. Last
week, we actually added such a license to the OAI-PMH spec, which
predates CC licenses.

I'll connect with Simeon Warner and we'll try to fix this asap.

Cheers

Thanks for pointing this out Stian. I agree with Herbert that it should
all be BY-SA and will try to get it fixed in the next couple of days.

Cheers,
Simeon

Hi Stian,

The ORE 1.0 docs, e.g.

http://www.openarchives.org/ore/1.0/datamodel

and the ORE vocabulary at

http://www.openarchives.org/ore/1.0/terms

are now all CC BY-SA. Please let us know if you spot any other issues.

Cheers,
Simeon
