I generated succesfully the garmin maps.
Ran the reg,s, could select the files within mapsource and than:
1. I only see the "highlevel image like WEEKEND.img and do not know
how to selcect the detail map. ( I can see them in MAPedit)
2. If i want to load them to my device (SDCard) Garmin comes with an
error: There is a problem with your Bart's Fantastic Airspace Maps:
WWEEKEND_LFAGS installation......Please re-install teh product and try
again."

Well it does not lead to a Fantastic Map yet.

Ren,

There might be a problem with your registry entries... You write that
you manually ran the reg's, but normally after generating all the files
with the makemaps_individual.sh script, I always use the 'HM NIS Edit'
program to open the create_setup.nsi installer script. Then I press the
'compile and run' button to compile and run the installer... Did you
follow the same procedure? Because I'm not sure if manually running the
generated reg's will work...

Also, before trying again, it's best to remove everything again by using
the uninstaller (check if your registry entries are 'clean' again after
uninstall).

Kind regards,
Bart

Bart,
'HM NIS Edit' What that? Should I have it?
I generated the files. copied them to another PC to a new created set
of deirectories C:/mymaps/img.
Ran the regs and than I could select them and now also can sent them
to my device.
But from your response there is a "good way" too

Regards
René

See http://hmne.sourceforge.net/

It is a tool to create installers for Windows. You need it if you want
to create an installer for easy installation of the maps in Windows.

Doing it manually could also work, but then you might 'forget' certain
steps which could lead to problems. Running the create_setup.nsi script
from within 'HM NIS Edit' automates things and avoids somehow that you
forget any steps.. If you're working on Windows and want to compile and
install the maps yourself, then my advice is to use HM NIS Edit to
create the installer and install (after you have used the
makemaps_individual.sh script to generate the Garmin and registry files).

Just give it a try and let me know if anything isn't clear.

Regards,
Bart
