Hey everyone,

The Columbus Chapter of Organic Athlete has officially been
declared and our chapter page is up and running. This web page will
be where any events will be posted, as well as a great place to
provide your input on how the events turned out, or proposals for
future Columbus OA events. Please visit the site at www.organicathlete.org/columbus
and register with our chapter if you had not a chance to do so as of
yet. This way you can make sure to stay in the loop.

You have also been invited to be a part of this google group. We
will use this as our means of day to day communication. Looking for
someone to do a run with this afternoon? Need a ride to an out of
town bikeride? Perhaps you have a new recipe you want to share with
the group...well this is the place to do it.

Glad to have you all on board. Looking forward to meeting you all,
and be sure to spread the word. Remember, the more who hear about
organic athlete, the more will question the possibility of going the
vegetarian route as well. Let's lead by example!

I wanted to add a note to this posting...

I'm sure most of you have already had a chance to visit the official
Organic Athlete website at www.organicathlete.org, but have you signed
up for the offical Organic Athlete list-serve?

On the home page for the site, right at the top, there is a hyperlink
which will lead you to an uber short (free to all) registration page
for the national listserve. This is what the organizers/founders of
OA use to ask for advice on how they construct the organization as a
whole....from t-shirt designs, event ideas, web lay-out, encouraging
success stories, etc. You can also view the responses that other
chapter members across the country reply with, which will help give us
some ideas and direction for our own chapter in Columbus.

Just a suggestion, but highly recommended....and if you do decide to
reply on the listserve, be sure to let them know where you hail from.
The soon-to-be most active OA chapter in Columbus OH-IO!
