Glad to hear you are training for this race....it should be fun
seeing where we place against the rest of the planet. Which city are
you racing in? Not sure how soon you are leaving town, but there is a
running group that trains for this race specific every wednesday
(6:30pm) and every saturday (8:00am). It meets up outside the
finishline on the southeast corner of OSU campus (next to Eddie George
Bar & Grill). I've gone twice with this group and had a pretty good
work-out. They have multiple pacers run with the group so no one gets
left behind and/or held back. Plus, you get a free t-shirt. There is
no cost, just show up and run.
What pace are your aiming for? I'm at about 8:15 at the moment,
though I'd like to get it down to 8 flat before the race.
