Just curious, but is anyone interested in racing the Nike Human Race
10k? It is going to be held on 8/31/08 (Sunday) across the globe with
the aim at hosting 1 million participants.....after the race is done,
they will post the results so you can see where you fall in the
rankings against 1 million over people across the globe. Best of all,
there will be a race in our backyard of Westerville. Check the link
for more info....

If interested, reply to this message and we can meet-up pre/post race.

I'll be running this one for sure. Although I aleady made plans to do so out of town.

Hope you get a good group together to do this one. Suggest you get the media to follow
the group also. (pick a good location...)

John,

Glad to hear you are training for this race....it should be fun
seeing where we place against the rest of the planet. Which city are
you racing in? Not sure how soon you are leaving town, but there is a
running group that trains for this race specific every wednesday
(6:30pm) and every saturday (8:00am). It meets up outside the
finishline on the southeast corner of OSU campus (next to Eddie George
Bar & Grill). I've gone twice with this group and had a pretty good
work-out. They have multiple pacers run with the group so no one gets
left behind and/or held back. Plus, you get a free t-shirt. There is
no cost, just show up and run.

What pace are your aiming for? I'm at about 8:15 at the moment,
though I'd like to get it down to 8 flat before the race.

Are you going to be at MFA Dinner/Lecture tomorrow night? I have to go to
Columbus in the a.m. and, if I'm still in town at 6:30, will go and see if
I can "identify" you. Did the Germantown 50k yesterday....felt great after
and today but it was a killer at the time. I finished but too many steep
hills for me!!! We knew it was an all new course but much tougher (for me)
than I expected. Maybe see you tomorrow....
