Greetings Everyone:

Could you take five minutes over the next few days to help us ideate?

Within our pilot project, we are seeking community feedback to create detailed personas and use cases that illuminate how OA eBook Usage (OAeBU) data is leveraged across different types of data trust stakeholder organizations.

As a representative of a publishing platform or service, we'd like your input to help us document needs within publishing platforms and service providers.

Using virtual, asynchronous stickies in the GroupMap ideation tool, please take no more than five minutes to list out the types of roles and/or staff positions at your organization that use or leverage OA eBook usage data

Steps to contribute to the persona idea board:
  1. Open the OAeBU Platform/Service Persona board at:
    https://join.groupmap.com/164-582-948
  2. Click to the right of the + and type in your idea.
  3. Hit 'Enter' on your keyboard to save the idea to the board. Note: if you click elsewhere before hitting enter, your idea will not be saved.
On Tuesday, July 21st, I will group submitted ideas and present the collection back to this group for reflection. Before then, you will only see the ideas that you contribute. All contributions are anonymous. Like all brainstorming, no idea is a bad idea.  If you feel you need to add context to your idea, feel free to add a note in the idea's comment field.

Thank you in advance for working with me through this virtual design process, which hopefully will allow us to paint a vibrant collaborative picture while reducing the number of necessary Zoom meetings.

Best regards,
Christina

Greetings Everyone:

Thank you to those who had a chance to drop into our Platforms and Services board to contribute persona ideas. In addition to staff levels (Director, Analyst, Specialist, Support Staff), five functional areas emerged. Listed in no particular order, those were:

  1. IT
  2. Marketing/PR
  3. Community / Member Management
  4. Publisher Relations
  5. Business Analysis

To help clarify how these functional areas use OA eBook Usage (OAeBU) data, please take a moment to return to the board and rate each of these functional areas in terms of three questions:

  1. How much do/would this functional area's staff need OAeBU data to do their job?
  2. How frequently do/would  this functional area's staff use OAeBU data?
  3. How much of an impact does OAeBU data have on  this functional area's work?

To add your rankings:

1)    Go to: https://join.groupmap.com/164-582-948
2)    Click on the three line icon to the right of the functional role you’re ranking
3)    Move the slider circles to set your answer for each of the three questions.

I will share the aggregated responses back to the group next week, as we shift into use case development.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Best regards,
Christina
