Greetings Everyone,

Thank you for agreeing to participate in this brain trust to inform the policy and principles that guide our pilot effort. I have appreciated your patience as we invited international voices to this online conversation space. We are now ready to start our discussions.

I'd like to start us off by asking you to consider and respond to two questions:

Question 1) What types or domains of principle frameworks should guide an international data trust focused on OA monograph usage data?

For example:
  1. open knowledge / open infrastructure
  2. community-based infrastructure design
  3. privacy / security
  4. scholarly metrics and analytics
What other types of frameworks should we be considering for an OA monograph usage data trust?

Question 2: What specific frameworks or principles in these domains should guide our work?

Re: open infrastructure principles:
Re: security and privacy frameworks:
Re: infrastructure development
  • Human-centered design / design thinking

To facilitate this conversation, I'd like to ask you to consider posting your response to this virtual whiteboard in GroupMap, which will help us to collaboratively organize our thoughts, links, and add details over time.   If email is easier for you, simply reply and I can add your contributions to the GroupMap on your behalf.

I look forward to your thoughts,

Christina
