Animal Welfare Approved announces a call for proposals for the 2011-2012 Good Husbandry Grants cycle. Animal Welfare Approved farms, farms that have completed an application to join the program or slaughter plants that are working with an AWA farm are eligible to apply. Each farm applicant may submit a proposal for one project requesting a maximum grant of $5,000. Grants will be awarded based upon each project’s potential to deliver the greatest benefit to farm animals.

Guidelines, Farmer and Slaughter Plant application forms and Frequently Asked Questions may be found below. For additional information or assistance in applying please contact Grants Coordinator Emily Lancaster at (202) 618-4497 or Em...@AnimalWelfareApproved.org.
