Animal Welfare Approved announces a call for proposals for the 2011-2012
Good Husbandry Grants cycle. Animal Welfare Approved farms, farms that have
completed an application to join the program or slaughter plants that are
working with an AWA farm are eligible to apply. Each farm applicant may
submit a proposal for one project requesting a maximum grant of $5,000.
Grants will be awarded based upon each project's potential to deliver the
greatest benefit to farm animals.

I have talked to a number of people in FL including Miami and there is definitely need for your product. I’ll point them to you. Yes, AWA will fund grants to expand egg production. You need to be an AWA farm certified for egg production or be in the process of applying to be such. I received a grant last year and am finishing up the project now to build another pasture layer house. AWA may be able to help you with marketing your product as well. I will tell you that they will not certify future flocks of Red Sex Links as the breed is prohibited by their standards, however you may be able to get a derogation for any current flock.
