Hi all,

Im doing a project for a friend of mine in the UK and we're talking
about hosting. Ideally, I would like to host it for him but Im just
wondering whether hosting the site in NZ will have an effect on his
Page Rank / search results or anything else as his clients/traffic
are mainly UK based?

Cheers
Craig

Depends if it has a .uk domain name. Sites can only be listed in one
regional index, but it's based both on the domain suffix and the
physical location of the server, with domain suffix taking priority.

Of course there's performance issues with hosting a UK-targeted site in
NZ, but I'm sure you're aware of that :)

PS: I've pretty much just regurgitated what's on Harvey's site, see

Yeh of course there would be a hit on performance but its an
extremely lite site. Thanks for the link to Harvey's page. I had an
inkling that may be the case. Looks like we'll be hosting it in the
UK :)
