Help/Advice with using OSM data to overlay other data points

HI there,

I am currently looking to use OpenStreetMap data to overlay specific data points and internet coverage maps to see what possible communication methods are available for clients.

Is there anyone in NZ (Auckland preferably) who has experience dealing with OSM data, setting up their own tile server(s) and overlaying data that can provide some assistance?
