NZDBA 2017 AGM - Agenda, and Board nomination

Fellow NZ Dragonboaters,
Further to our email of 1-August, I remind you that the NZDBA's Annual General Meeting will be Saturday 26th of August 2017 Airways NZ, 26 Sir William Pickering Drive, Russley, Christchurch at 10:30 am. See the Google map.

The meeting is open to all members of the NZDBA to attend, and one bona fide member from each affiliated team may vote. Please advise if you will be are carrying a proxy for any of the following votes.

The agenda is:

1. Confirmation of Previous Minutes.
2. Board Reports (activities over the last year, and priorities/directions for the coming year)
3. Election of Officers to BOM. Nominees are included (with short bios).
4. Financial reporting from the Board Treasurer, including setting of affiliation fees.
5. Motions 
6. General Business, including discussion on circulating Meeting Minutes, and the ID Card process.

Motions tabled: "That unless a team is disqualified in the earlier Heats, NZDBA will continue to run enough Finals Races to accommodate all teams".

Nominations for NZDBA Board members. The following current board members have indicated they will retire at this AGM (or have served the maximum 10 years allowable): Noel Anderton (Aoraki), Jennie Colver (Auckland), Sooupu Perese (Auckland), Shane Petley (Waikato).
Meanwhile Ricky Greaves (Auckland), Meri Gibson (Aoraki), Heather Bisset (Auckland) and Colleen Harris (Bay of Plenty) have indicated they are willing to serve another term.

Nominations (as per the following Bios) are made for board membership only, not for specific roles on the board.
