Folks,
we are getting very close now to the biggest Dragon Boat Nationals that we have seen for a Looong time. I hope your team is well prepared, and pumped for the occasion.
We are well into the task of printing the photo sheets and crew list for all the teams that are coming this weekend (still a couple to come!). I had earlier asked for teams to declare if they have anyone that is in two teams. As you know, NZDBA will not tolerate Waka Jumping. Each person should commit to one team and give them their entire energies. The team deserves that.
Of course, if you are racing in "Standard Boat" as well as "Small Boat" then we expect that it will simply be the same list trimmed down, maybe with some additions. And we have organised it so that they are racing in different "Sessions' so there will be no logistics clash.
The exception that we might look at (to someone being on two lists) is the case where a person is on one boat (generally Sweeping an adult crew) and they are also training and Sweeping for a Junior (School) crew.
If you have any 'double entries' of paddlers, you need to sort it out now. And if you have anyone who will be two sheets (Crew Lists and Photo Sheets) you need to declare it to me. Again, if you already have - sorry for the inconvenience.
