Managers of Teams going to Nationals,
As you should know, you need to have emailed/submitted your Named Crew lists by tonight. This includes Regional Rep teams.
To quote from Bulletin #3:
"Crew lists for each of your crews must be submitted to the NZDBA by the 27/03/17..." on page 2 and from page 5:
"A Crew List is the list of the paddlers, sweep and caller/drummer in your team who are in a specific crew. These lists are used at Crew Marshalling along with the Paddler ID cards to confirm that the paddlers listed for that crew are the ones in crew marshalling ready to load for a specific race. Paddlers therefore must bring their Paddler ID cards to Crew Loading for every race. Managers need to complete a Crew List form for each crew that is being entered into each of the Racing classes for each day of racing."
Meantime though, people have asked us how many people from your club can come to Nationals. Specifically can you (in Standard Boat Racing) have a 'roster' of 26 people for the 200m Races, and slightly different list for the 500m (again, up to 26 people) and another separate list for the 2k Turns?
Up to now, teams have generally struggled to fill their team lists, even up to the 26 maximum, and they have fielded the whole squad into each Racing Distance. Of course, for the Small Boat racing they select up to 14 of them for the 200m and 500m. Remember that we have 200m and 500m racing on different days - this means that they could almost be considered two different regatta.
Therefore, NZDBA will allow a club to list different crew members on different Race Distances.
--------------
On another similar note, a Club has asked me whether they can have Women from both of their Standard Boat teams (one is Mixed and the other is Women’s) to make up their Small Boat Women's Crew list. NZDBA has agreed that this is acceptable.
The same applies for a crew list on the Small Boat Open entry.

PS please pass this on to any Manager who you think is going to Nationals, but is not on the above list.
