Race Info for NZDBA National - penalty fees apply from tomorrow!

Folks
(and especially those teams who are gearing up for this year's NZ Dragon Boat National Champs), we have a few updates to the info.
 
For anyone still sitting on the fence, ACT NOW because entries are due to CLOSE TODAY!  Any last minute entries are solely at NZDBA discretion, and will incur a 15% surcharge.
 
 
It includes the following changes:
  • Clarified “Entry Fees” (remove the bit about Early Bird discount (sorry, WAY too late for that!), and changed the Pro Forma to show all penalties calculated).
  • Remember that the DEADLINE for Paddler photos and team lists is the end of next Friday 22-March.  Please email them to this address. 
  • We need you to send us your signed Safety Waiver forms (page 12) plus you list of ICE/NOK phone numbers (page 15) by then.
  • Also, BC Team Managers must be able to produce copies of the appropriate medical certificate for all BCS team members.
  • Change to the race Schedule.  We have moved the 200m Sprints to the start of the day (by popular request), and dropping the second Heat of 200m races (because of the number of teams attending/extra races per Round).  Note expect an EARLY START to racing at 8:30 am (while the lake is nice and calm) finishing around 4:30 pm
  • NZDBA has decided that, because Nationals are quite late in the Autumn this year, racing on the Blue Lake could be more dangerous. So for 2013 Nationals, Paddlers must wear approved buoyancy vest (type 403 PFD or similar).  Auckland Dragon Boat Association will have ample horse-shoe type PFDs for any team that does not bring their own.
REMEMBER that any team does not have IDBF Spec 202a Paddles (wooden or fibre) must ask ASAP if you want to borrow a set - we can't pull them out of thin air on the day...
