Today is the day!
Firstly, as mentioned in my update last month, there has been a large amount of work put in to develop the content of the Code of Practice. My personal thanks to those of you who joined in the workgroups and helped developed the disclosures, the time you have given us and the knowledge you have shared has been invaluable. The result of all of this commitment is a completed draft of the code which is now ready to release for formal submissions!
The draft code is attached but can also be downloaded from the NZ Cloud code website (www.nzcloudcode.org) along with the submission document which provides questions that we would like specific feedback on, and details of how submissions can be made.
The submission period will close at 5pm on the 10th of April, but please don’t leave it till the last minute as, unlike the last submission round, we will not extend the closing date.
This submission period is critical to the success of the code in the future, so please circulate the link to as many people as you can and invite them to make a submission. We are looking for submissions from every sector, both of the market AND their customers. Without feedback from all areas of industry and consumer sectors, we cannot fine tune the code to ensure it is adaptable, adoptable and appropriate!
If you believe that certain organisations or individuals should make a submission on the draft code, please forward me their contact details and I will ensure they are given every opportunity to do so!
Kind Regards
Joy Cottle
