Hi All

I have been asked by the Office of the Privacy Commissioner to circulate their draft guidance on Cloud Computing to the wider group – if any of you are interested and haven't yet seen the document please let me know.

The guidance in its present form puts the power in the hands of the consumer, telling them what questions to ask and what answers should satisfy them.  The feedback that the Privacy Comissioners office would like to know if firstly if the questions being put forward in the document for the consumer to ask are reasonable, and able to be complied with. This round of consultation is to help them identify any gaps in the guidance, where they haven’t provided enough information, or if there is a misinterpretation of the concepts.

Submissions on the document close on the 14th February 2012

Kind Regards

Joy Cottle
