I have a fairly long run of old coax network cable, around 15m or maybe
20m -- if anybody can use this I am happy to donate it. Also a few Ts
and terminator caps still floating around in my toolbox.
Otherwise it may well end up in the landfill or recycling since I've no
use for it any more.

Last time I was at Lincoln Uni in some outback wing, they had a run of
thinnet with a transceiver to get the copier to print. It looks like it
never dies...

Hi Peter

Is it cat5 ? I'm after a long length if I can use it under house to kids
room. Ive gotta put another router in there for their growing needs
LOL.I would prob whack ends off it and put it into wall mounted
boxthingie and they can connect router and an xbox to it as it has two
ethernet inputs and phone from memory. Would it be suitable for that you
think. More importantly where are you cos unless local postage would
rule it out heh ?

Hijacking your thread here Peter.......
I've also got few bnc conectors and tees and terminators etc along with
about 10 cables of varying small lengths with bnc ends if any good to
anyone. I'm in Mosgiel if anyone wants them all.

No, it's not cat5, it's not twisted pair at all ... *coax*!!! like tv
aerial cable. Don't think that'll work for you. I thought somebody might
want to use it for purposes other than networking ... oscilloscope,
antenna lead, something like that.

Besides, Far North here, you'd be able to buy your cable cheaper than
the postage from up here, most likely. Sorry.
