Does anyone know where I can acquire a CRT Degaussing Coil? I'm even
willing to make my own if anyone has a suitable circuit diagram.
The only commercially available ones I've found on the net are from the US -
apart from the expense of shipping one to NZ it would need a 240v to 110v
transformer....
Thanks in anticipation

Depends on model, modern mmonitors have a separate degauss option in the
menu

That's _as well_ as coldstart degausing.

At that stage it needs a repairman with a good large degaussing wand.
Most TV servicemen can do this.

Beileve me, it's cheaper to pay a serviceman to show up and wave his magic
weand over it. A good degausser is more expensive than most monitors.
Oooh-ER! I smell a tagline here:
"TV servicemen do it with their large degaussing wand"

- Never try to outstubborn a cat.
I'll cross my local TV repair man's palm with some with some silver I
guess...
Thanks to the group anyway

If you run them for a while eventually the impureities will disappear. I
ad this strange thing happen when my TV was turned off for a week at the
wall. When I came back it had all this impurities, horrible colours etc,
which eventually did disappear completely, must be with the cold start
degayussing
