Photographic Equipment

Hi all,

Does anyone know of a good shop *fairly priced* that sells photographic
equipment including cameras in the Wellington area?
And also if there are Photographers in this newsgroup, i am interested
to have a talk to 8))

Try Wellington Photographic supplies (WPS) in Vivian Street (near the
Cambridge Terrace intersection), they have an extensive range of 2nd hand
gear ranging from point and shoot snapshot camera's to professional camera's
and equipment.....

Another good place is The Photography Warehouse in Victoria Street (they
dont have much 2nd hand gear though) but (like WPS) stock a large range of
camera's, equipment, and supplies for camera's, darkroom supplies, etc, etc,
etc....

Both places have well trained, knowledgable staff, unlike most photography
shops....

When I lived in Wellington I used Hutt Cameras. There is unfortunately not
a lot of choice for SLR users up there. your best bet is to go online to
Greg at Photo and Video International here in Christchurch. He deals
worldwide.. Go to www.photo.co.nz

I'd have to second that recommendation. The people at WPS are not just
knowledgeable photographers but nice people too. They are keen to help, give
good advice and have a solid selection of gear so I heartily recommend them to
you as well.
