Looked it up and it seems to be oriented towards preventing bacterial
colds??? (I thought most colds if not all were viral and that bacterial
infections were associated with them as secondary, opportunistic infections
which are as a result of having the cold????)
Here are a couple of links with more info. Can anyone shed any light as to
whether this is really of any value? I don't get flu vaccinations.

I ride motorbikes, and asked my doctor for a flu jab one winter. He said
to try Buccaline, absolutely magic. Not a sniffle for the rest of the
year, despite long trips in all weathers. Used it ever since.

This has been on the market for a long time. I know of about 2 folk
who swear by it, but another 3-4 tried it and still got stinking colds
and flu. A doctor friend reckons it's just another snake oil. So, I
have never tried it. IIRC, it's expensive, isn't it?
Try it and see. Problem is, if you get a cold, can you get your money
back? You should be able to.

My Doctor and I have extensively discussed this product.
Forget it and go for the injection.
Better value for money.
Snake oil. Ran its course in Australia and now they're conning the credulous
here.

Hmm .... And it's SWISS, to boot ....

Absolutely totally correct
And bacterial infections associated with a cold are uncommon

There has been one published scientific study
Schweiz Rundsch Med Prax 1972 Jul 4;61(27):884-7
[Effect of Buccaline Berna on absenteeism of an industral population]
Medsafe have recommended it be rescheduled as a medicine based upon
the claims made about the prepartion. The claims do indicate it is
being sold as a 'vaccine' The company promoting it can apply to have
it remain as an over the counter preparation. I imagine they will
want to do that, as being classified as a medicine means they have to
provide evidence of efficacy and safety
Oh well I will not be getting this product then.
And as I don't want a jab (not that Im scared of the needle - just don't
like the idea of vaccines "unnecessarily") looks like its another season of
washing hands a lot and not touching face in public.
