..
royal life saving soc were selling lotto tickets
on the footpath outside new world in June 2004.
it cost $2.00 per line for 5 lines, instead of .50 cents.
it cost 4x the normal price and the odds were
1 in: 132 of winning a prize, $10.

the expected per cent return was less than 14 per cent.%
one-seventh (Prizes/ cost.)

the ticket was already scratched- the lucky numbers,
the bar code, and the serial number were unreadable.
i sent the tickets back to auckland for refund.

eighty per cent of the lines had lucky number '25'.
and 80 % of the lines had '3-in-a-row', such as
3,4,5, etc.

yours sincerely,

Yes, you can't buy them alcohol or cigarettes either.

Why would you buy a lotto ticket for 4x the price in the first place? You
no good at math or something?

Off topic:

I tried to buy Bonus Bonds for god-children but were informed that I
have to have someone residing within NZ to do it for me! So it meant
sending $ to NZ and have someone take care of it for me.

IMHO, Bonus Bonds should be able to be purchased online for children
from anywhere including overseas. I think it is a good way to
start a form of saving for when they turn 18 and may want to go to
Uni.

I would most certainly pay a service charge for processing and
delivery.
