Whew, good riddance. My primary issues with it were the co-governance
and the sheer incompetence that would be brought to bear into the
provinces. The old ISO9000 mentality is still with us, that processes
can somehow substitute for intelligence. It can't. Bad processes
with good people are far superior to good processes with bad people,
every time. It is the people. There is no substitute for hiring the
best-qualifued person for any position. Hiring by any other criterion
brings about the "loss of expertise" which grinds our civilisation to
a halt.
