I have a generic voodoo banshee, performance is good for the price, works
well in linux/X11 but I have had to get patches or updates for most of my
games to work in windows 98.

good if you are looking for a card for a cheap system, the drivers are
supposed to complement AMD's 3D now quite well.

duh the diamond viper 550, pci and agp is a tnt card,not to mention
numerous others! there is only one tnt2 pci card and that is an asus one but
its a little pricey! btw im only after this for an older p200 system that
sits behind my telly and is used as a dvd player but thought it might be
nice to play some games on my telly as well!

yeah but i only want it to go onto an old p200 system i have sitting behind
my telly used as a dvd player, just want to be able to play some games on my
big tv!

You want something with Hardware DVD decodeing...
Even a Hardware DVD decoder card. $199 + GST for a Decent DXR2 Clone (OEM
Creative from memory)

With the Right software you can even recored DVD to Video (aparently)

already have a hollywood plus dvd hardware decoder and yep have been
recording dvds to vhs no probs
