We run a Windows2000 server withApache web server, serving up a
course-presentation application that presents lessons, tests, etc. Every
week or so the server bogs down and we find Apache is using about 98% of the
CPU cycles. We stop & restart the service and all is happy. I've been
through log files etc to see if any funny events are triggering this, but no
luck so far.
Has anyone had experience of this happening? Did you find a cause, a fix, or
both?
Cheers,
Gregor

Could be Windows. I don't have a problem with Apache under Linux.
Specifically, do you run any CGI scripts or anything like that. Could
e a CGI EXE or something locking up or going in an endless loop?

Well no comment except that Apache recommend version 2.0 for Windows
systems. Versions before 2.0 were not guaranteed to be reliable, eh?
